First Black Woman Named Chief Usher at the White House

Angella Reid was just named the next chief usher of the White House.  Not only is she the first BLACK woman but, she’s the first woman!  She is the current general manager of the Ritz-Carlton at Pentagon City.   Reid will run the household staff and ground.   She’s replacing Stephen Rochon, the first black to hold the usher’s post, who took a post at the Department of Homeland Security.  Additionally,  Reid holds a degree in Hospitality Management from the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft School in Munich, Germany, and is conversational in German and basic Spanish.
