A 3rd US Circuit Court of appeals placed Carl Lewis, nine-time Olympic gold medalist, back on the New Jersey Senate ballot with a vote of 2-1. The discrepancy was to figure out if Lewis lived in the state of New Jersey for a minimum of 4 years (required for New Jersey Senators). Carl Lewis grew up in New Jersey and is familiar with local issues. Therefore, he was exempt from the residency clause. It is also worthy noting that two Democrats voted for him to be placed back on the ballot and one Republican voted against. Carl Lewis, a democrat, is running in a district where the majority is Republican. The general election is on November 8.
His running days are far from over. Good Luck!
